for those of you who don't know, the PT and Neon share the same chassis. I have already posted the difference's between the front control arms. Now I present to you some pics of the PT front frame:

We'll based on the pictures above it appears the PT frame is actually slightly stronger in design and has 2 more aditional mounting points....

I have some pics of 2000 vs. 2005 frames I can throw up when I get time/feel like it.

Had the wreckers tell me the part numbers are different 00-02/03-05 and tried to convince me they wouldn't fit. While I'm sure the P/N's are different I can say for sure the 05 fits on the 00 no problem, just in case anyone else is getting told this.

They are all the same fit wise. The differences are in the bracing underneath.
2.0
5272341AA '00/'01 $582.00 superceded from 5272238AE ('00)5272238AG ('01)
5272341AB '02 $757.00
5272341AC '03 $352.00
5272341AF '04/'05 $407.00

2.4
5290203AB '03/'04 $752.00
5290203AC '05 $814.00

So be careful what number you use. I would at this time, specify the '03 2.0 pn# if ordering from a dealer. The pic with the red arrow is the only difference between the SRT and the standard crossmember. Is it worth $450 +/- to have that clinch nut to fasten the pipe to? A drill, drill bit and tap are far cheaper...
