It's like an "H" the line that connects the uprights will do nothing to keep them from twisting opposite of each other.

I think it'd be a great idea if you were going all out and making a roll cage.... Not having to wory about bending pieces....

If you put a cage in this thing would have even less of an effect than it would without a cage.
You need more than two mounting points for it to really be effective, like what an X brace would be like. All 2 points would do is make a pivot point.
