So i am pretty sure my brake pads are shitting the bed and need some replacing in the front of my ACR. How hard is it to do on your own. Didn't find a "how to" but didn't look that hard either. Answer the question mofos

easy as hell, 2 bolts and a c-clamp are all you need really once the tire is off. take the 2 retainer bolts off the caliper, remove caliper, rip off old pads, compress the caliper piston using the c-clamp, put on the new pads, then put everything back together
edit* you might want to also visually inspect the front and back of the rotors for gauges since you said your pads are trash. if gauges are present you'll have to take the rotors into a shop to be resurfaced

The hardest part is getting the slider pins back in the rubber boots when you take them out to grease them. Takes a few minutes to get that sorted out. Other than that, undo bolts and remove caliper, push piston back in (with reservoir cap off, just in case), install new pads, reinstall.

it's even more fun when your rotors sieze to the hub and you have to take a 10lb sledgehammer to them

I would just pick up some new rotors before you start. Might save another trip to the store. More often than not, they can't be resurfaced. If they are grooved, it is going to take that much more to bed in, and that much more life out of the pads. Just my opinion tho.
Get some brake clean also.

It's not by any means hard, but a -5..?
In that case you should just grab your local cat/dog and have it do it for you.

dont even need a c-clamp, as i use a flathead and decompress them before unbolting them

Is there a trick to removing the rear rotor. Mine is not coming off easily. Does it have anything due to the parking brake? I have my parking brake released.
