Front Type V bar...not quite fitting

Post by TeckNeon » Fri Aug 20, 2004 4:11 pm

I installed a Vibrant Type V strut tower bar up front last night. But, it doesn't quite fit. It has to be installed at an angle so the washer squirter thingy on the driver's side doesn't get crushed when I shut the hood.

Any suggestions from owners of one? How did you get yours to fit and look right?

Mine fit fine. I didn't have any problem at all with the washer thingy getting in the way. All I did was line it up right with the whole and tighten that thing down correctly. I think mine is at a slight and very slight angle but not noticeable at all really

I havd the same prob, but I just angled mine till it didn't hit anything. Its not that sever of an angle, I don't think it would hinder the performance of the bar.

Right now, mine is almost on it's side facing the front of the engine. It is messing up my squirter thingy. It won't spray on the driver's side. Really annoying, BTW.

Damn it...I think I am going to have to play with it a bit more and see if I can't get it to fit right. Maybe it is just my bar and my car that just don't mesh together. I wish the DC front bar would fit our cars with out hood mods or I would buy one of those in a heart beat to match my rear bar.

in her pick is the washer hose in the front (closest to front of car) or rear of the bar I can't tell. You put the line in the front of the bar correct? I am going to be doing my suspension very soon and this is a helpfull thread to avoid those minor probs :)
