My e-brake on the rear discs of 2001 RT are loose. Basically, I have to pull the e-brake up ALL the way to hold it on a slope. One click less and it rolls. Even all the way up, I am not too confident.

Is it best to simply get into the rear e-brake drum and tighten that up or should I get down into the center console and cinch up the wire?

if i remember correctly, there is adjustment nuts slightly behind the center console. that would be the best place to adjust the parking brake

is it possible for the cable to become stretched? i have tried the re-adjustment.... with no luck
