Go to a local autoparts store say hey I need pads and rotors for my neon. They will then ask a bunch of unnecessary questions about warranties and car specs. You say I want the good ones or I want the cheap ones. Get parts, pay pop, leave parts store, install, bed in, be happy your shit don't squeal anymore

X2

By the time you pay shipping, and wait for them, you could have it done already. :)

ty for the lesson on how to buy rotors, its tough to walk into a store and ask for parts that fit a neon.. end sarcasm.. i really wanted input on the brands since price was close, so aside from that ty for nothing constructive..

Unless you are getting into racing, I don't think the brands make that much difference.

I've had Advance Auto silver pads and cut OEM rotors on my car for about 30k now. Does it fade after a bunch of hard stops, yes but I'm not racing so I shouldn't be stopping like that anyways.

Ceramics are nice for the low to zero brake dust, but they need to get warmed up before they really start to grip. Don't get me wrong, they work well enough, but if you want ones that have a better initial grab, then ceramics won't make you happy. (Other than not having brake dust after two miles of driving.)

I had ceramics on my XJ, and just put the cheapest Duralast ones on. The Duralast pads out brake the $70 ceramics by a long shot. Since the Jeep doesn't get driven too much anymore, and it sits in the weather, I usually end up replacing the fronts once a year/1 1/2 years, so I just put the cheapest ones on this time, and couldn't believe how much better they are.

I like RockAuto, but the one beef I have with buying from them, is that their site doesn't state the 'Country Of Origin'.

I try to avoid buying brake drums and rotors that are 'Made In China', whenever possible.
But that pretty much rules out ^ everybody, except for the dealer.
Heck, even the last pair of 'good' rotors that I bought from NAPA, were stamped 'Made In China'. :(

The dealer ones are made in Canada. They are a lot nicer looking than the Chinese ones. But then you have to pay extra for sexy.
