Gnuserup i did the pads just like i have in everyone of my cars infact i did it on my gti which was a pian cause if youve owned an audi you know the piston has to be turn while pushed i .not easy when you dont have that specific tool, but i got it done and had no issues with the abs or traction control which was i believe called srl? Or slr something of that sort. The abs light came on right after i changed the pads. I figured id wait it out maybe itd go away but its still there so i removed the bulbs but now the " brake" light stays on lol the ebrake one... so im guessing it knows the bulbs are removed either by resistance cause the bulbs are led or something, But anyway i can live with the e brake light on. Ill bleed out the system. Tomorrow , fluids bad anyway it needs it . Ill keep you all posted. I looked up the prices for the abs pump all i find are used. Over 80 bucks...

Update!

So i finally found time to work on the car... I bled driver front, rear, and passanger rear.. I couldnt bleed the front passanger the bleed nipple broke! its insanely rusted. Anyway didnt fix the problem. Ill have to order new calipers, might as well do all 4 at once too also planing on geting some stainless steel braided lines now that ill be there and some nice rotors... =) At this point i think the abs is shot tho... ill try and rip one off a junk car at the yard hope it works.. if not then itll have to stay like that ...

Too bad the big brake kit for the srt isnt a direct bolt on.. Thought to myself lol

yeah, the abs controller (ECU, if you prefer) is the part under the MC that splits the 2 lines into 4 and "controls" the brakes when ABS is engaged. I've had one sitting around for quite some time and I don't think I'm going to install ABS into my car... (over rated, that and the only part i'm missing is the body wire harness... $$$$$). Soooooo, I got it for cheap, i'll sell it for cheap if you are need of one, but shoot me a pm and we can work out the details.

I would fix the problem at hand, rather than make more work for yourself. ide kill for ABS in mine.

Come over well swap then lol.... sometimes i wish i woulda bought a base neon without ABS.... FOr the way i drive... Example..

I have a heaavy foot... i know what my car is capable of and what i can do and how i can drive it... So im coming up to a stop sign.... bit fast for other ppl but im fine its how i drive but there is a sorta ditch right before the stop sign.... so i start brakeing but car falls into sloped ditch not knowing im in controll the car turns on the ABS.... no instead of STOPING!!! before the stop sign like i would have on my own... and it scares the crap out of me.:owned: it doesnt cars abs keeps the car rolling past it enough for a car to hit my front end... or a ticket for taking a stop sign.. :banghead: And its not just at that stop sign it kicks in anytime i hit a slope or some sort of ditch or pot hole.. In a way im glad it doesnt work i just hate the damn LIGHT ON THE DASH! lol

Yah... Brake light needs to gop as well. Though if you forget to put your e brake down you still have the benefit of the bell ringing... :D
