Sway Bar Questions! (03 SE)

Ok, so yes I searched around the forum and read the thread about installing the rear sway bar.

My first question is can I still use these 2 part numbers, 4626765 & 4626764 to order the brackets from Chrysler/Dodge?
If not, any other places I can acquire some?

Do all Neons have the mounting points/bolts, or do you have to do some custom welding work to make the brackets work?

I just found this...
http://www.modernperformance.com/progre ... -1276.html

which comes with the brackets, but it says that I may or may not have the mounting points.

Lastly, I have an 03 Dodge Neon SE, and have found an SRT 4 sway bar for $50, I assume this has to be an upgrade, and all I would need to do is buy new end links...

Thanks for the help ahead of time...

You'll need to change your struts, and replace those with the ones that have the mounting tabs for the end links.

You'll need the frame brackets as well.
The holes for mounting those should already be tapped from the factory.

Dodge no longer sells those brackets if i recall correctly. So if not, you will need new struts. Most people use Tokico HP struts since they are stiffer for lowered applications. Most any aftermarket strut should have the tabs you need. KYB gr2, monroe, etc.

Ok, thanks. I will see what I can find, don't want to pay too much just for a rear sway. Is it worth it to put the set front sway on my car?

If you have one or can get one cheap, probably. If matched with a rear. Be very careful though. Without a lot of rust penetration spray and heat those bolts WILL snap off. It's a bitch when they do too.

It is generally better, to run the swaybars front and rear, as a matched set.

You can *try* running just the front, but you might not be happy with the results.
