Which rotors to get

I've been looking around for some new rotors since I found a rear disk brake setup and I was planning on getting Power Slot 2 but then I found SP Performance Cross drilled & Slotted (or Diamond Slotted for the same price, both cheaper than the power slot) and I was just wondering if anyone has used them or knows anything about them. The SP rotors are about $100 cheaper as well.

looking for stopping power or looks? Go with the power slots/cross drilled ones for looks, or just goback to stock - that's a lot of money for not much more stopping power.

the powerslots cost the same as OEMs from the dealershit... at least in calgary, so i ofcourse got powerslots which were readily available locally. now on the second set of HP+ pads and the rotor shows perfect even wear with no scratches or grooves. btw, the powerslots start as oem blanks

So no one would go with the SP rotors even though they cost $100 less than powerslots would from MP?

It's just me but when it comes to brakes I'd rather spend a little more on them to make sure I'm getting something thats of good quality and has a lesser chance of failing.

Drilled rotors have been known to crack since thats a weak spot, so me personally I like to stay away from them b/c I'd rather not have them crack and me fly into the car infront of me at 60mph b/c I couldn't stop.

I just have the slotted powerslots and love them, don't show any odd wear and I have HPS pads. Had them for like 30,000+ miles with no probs.

Some people on here have gone for the eBay rotors but when it comes to braking I'd rather not go too cheap.

Well diabl0 good quality drilled rotors wont crack, ive used the drilled and slotted brembos with Hawk HP+ (i doubt anyone here uses blues or black) and they are perfectly fine.

i happen to own both a first gen and an 05 and the 1st gen rotors are thinner :P  i got quoted $90/rotor from the dealer, and the powerslots were 89 (canadian prices)...

i nuked my previous post.

maybe they changed it 2003+ cause when i replaced my rear rotors on my 2002, the pn# for the 2g rear was the same as the 1g rear.

well i just splurged and bought power slot slotted rotors for my fronts, i spent $260CAN and am waiting for them to arrive, i could careless how much they cost, as my life is worth every penny as is anyone in my vehicle.

cross drilled rotors are known to crack under EXTREME conditions, where they heat up alot and cool down alot, if you have slotted cross drilled rotors on your daily driver and dont drive like a manic on crack, cross drilled will be just fine, and i highly doubt they will start cracking.

im not gonna be racing or auto-crossing with my car, i needed new rotors/pads and wanted something better than OEM, especially since i have some nice summer rims for my car, the added inertia weight from the rims is something that concerns me with OEM brakes/rotors... any extra stopping power is worth it.

personally, i need to get some nice drilled/slotted rotors... just for the sake of them looking good though. My car is by no means daily driven, so they wont ever be under "extreme" conditions.

Just go to autozone and get some rotors and pfc pads. That is what I had on the old r/t and it stopped better then stock, and the pads have a lifetime warranty(i.e. never pay for pads again)

the ebay rotors work great, but they rust. The next set I get are going to have the aluminum centers so no rusting.....
