has anyone installed these struts? i was going to go with yellow inserts but at this price and a lifetime warranty it seems like a good deal.

They are a very good sport replacement shock. Not as good as the sport/yellow but quite a bit better than any other choices you have.

Koni can rebuild/mod them into a sport or an 8611 race shock if you ever feel the need

Do you know if the STR T series will fit on a 2005 sxt?

Seriously people, this is 2019 not 1920.

Just installed the Koni STR.t (orange) on my daughter's 2001 R/t. They are just a little more aggressive than the R/T factory valving. I was very happy with the valving choice koni selected for this model. I talked to a tech at Koni NA and was told the valving the Orange should be very close top the Yellow in Compression and the rebound should be about the same as the yellow at its softest setting. He was giving this information to me from his memory. He gave me actual dyno numbers of the yellows.

I asked him about re-building the STR.t and changing the valving, but he informed me this model is NOT re-buildable.

I am very happy with them on my '99. They are a bit of a firm ride, but not to the point where you hate life on a 6 hour ride.

I had no problem hanging with the lowered 2gn's on the road to TMI last year at Carlisle. The suspension is bone stock, front sway only, the only upgrade is the Koni's. I will take these over Tokico's any day.

Does anyone know if the STR.T rear strut has the boss for a swaybar link allowing the mounting of a rear swaybar to a non-swaybar vehicle?

More than likely most if not all non oem rears have them, because they don't know what specific year, between 2000 and 2005, that each one is going to go on. It is easier to just weld the tabs on all of them, than have two separate PN's, packaging and listings.

To answer your question, YES the Koni STR.T has the sway bar mounting brackets on the housings. I bought these for my daughter's 2001 R/T and they were a direct replacement with no modifications required.
