I'm trying to go for that ultra low look and wanted some opinions on just doing away with the coil spring all together

Well, remove all 4 struts, remove the springs, and reassemble the struts without the springs and take it for a spin. Don't forget the video so we can all see how it works out.

There was a guy on neons.org that actually drove his car without springs in it for some time. That's kinda terrifying to think about.
