Theres also a nice how-to on the neoncanada website, for strut and spring installation for a 2nd gen.

Tools needed = jack, jackstands, springs compressors, full range socket set (21mm, 17mm, 13mm, 10mm, im sure there are others needed), and with any luck, an air compressor and at least a butterfly air wrench. And a hammer!

Break all lugs loose. Jack up, and jack stand. Remove tires. My suggestion=Jack up front end, put 2 stands (1 on each side) and jack the back up and if you can, jack stand it too (on the crossmember). Each strut has 3 13mm bolts (im pretty sure its 13, if not its 12 or 14) on each top. 2 bolts on each bottom of the strut (offset on each side, rear and fronts are differant sizes). Remove bottom NUTS. Bolts themselves are splined and will requir a hammer to remove. Then, unbolt the top. Also, there is a 10mm bolt holding on teh grounding wire, remove that. Strut may be holding on to the knuckle below, so you might have to tap that out.

Once you get teh struts out, you will need to compress the springs. It is dangerous and im not responsible for anybody getting hurt! But anyways, put a compessor on each side and compress until the springs can be moved freely inside the strut assembly. Use butterfly air socket wrench or equivilant to remove the nut on top (21mm). If you do not have this, i have heard of people using a 13/16 (15/16?) sparkplug socket with a 10mm socket inside with the 10mm socket wrench extention through the top of the hole, and using a regular wrench to loosen/tighten it all (but much more time and thought involved! :D )

After you get teh spring out, clamp one end in a vice tightly (a mounted vice). This makes it much safer if the spring is to slip. CAREFULLY take off teh compressors EVENLY. Youll loose something valuable if you are not careful. If you feel they are going to slip, just stand back and be ultra super duper careful.

Put the new springs in teh new struts. If its anything like the eibach springs, you can have a friend push down the top assembly of the strut down while another puts the nut on teh top on. If not, compress them a bit.

Reverse order for install. Get alignment ASAP.
