02 SE ATX. Brake indicator light won’t shut off. Brakes work absolutely fine. Midas tried to tell me it was a ‘level fill sensor(built into the master cylinder of course)’ or ‘brake switch’ however neither of these parts fixed the issue. There’s no hardness or sponginess to the brakes at all. If I take it out on the freeway the alarm starts dinging like mad once I hit 75, as soon as I decelerate under 75 it stops dinging.

I’m leaning towards the ECU starting to go out, but other input before I pull one from a junkyard and reprogram another SKIM module would be appreciated.

It doesn't have a 140 mph speedometer or SRT gauge cluster does it?

Not sure the brake fault light would be speed related.

Unless it has antilock brakes, and there's a bad wheel sensor?

No to all the above… except the ABS thing. As far as I’m aware ABS came standard on the 02 SE. didn’t think to check the abs wheel sensors, it doesn’t have the ABS-logo light on the display panel(as I’m not present at all, illuminated or not) but that may have been added in later models?

If it is a wheel sensor how dangerous is driving around like that until I can get around to replacing it?

Brakes work absolutely fine.

I think you answered your own question. If the brakes are otherwise functioning as they should, then it should be okay. ABS failures mostly default to normal brake operation.
