I recently bought a pack of lowering clamps to clamp my springs. on the package it claims to drop the car 2". I question was that is it bad to clamp your springs and if it should be done...

Bad idea. Save up and do it right, you'll be much happier and it wont ride like crap.

Bad idea....don't do it!!

As for the poll....do you want reliability or is that not an issue...in otherwords if its a daily driver then I would suggest a full SRT swap.

Those clamps, I've heard, will break after a while and cause your car to ride all strange.

at my expense? I think not! LOL
I dunno i just met someone in town that has had them on his car for awhile now and it hasn't given him any problems what so ever.
I dunno i might do it just to see how much i wanna drop when I get actual springs...
and as far as the swap this is my daily driver so Ill probably go with the full srt4 swap..

Spring clamps are a bad idea. I had a set of them when I was 16 and they last about 2 months before they bend and snap. Live and learn. :)

Could you imagine going around a corner at speed and having one of those things snap.. Man that would be scary.
