I'm the original smoke and pet free owner.
Bought car in Dec 2002 with 15 miles on the odometer.
Now has 116k on odometer
Automatic transmission
CD/Cassette
A/C
Cruise Control
Power Windows/Locks
Keyless Entry
Decent straight body, no rust
Interior in great shape, non-smoker

DOES NOT RUN!

Its getting juice but doesn't turn over for some reason.
I have neither the time, money, patience, or want to fix it.
If you do then pick it up for $1000.

Yep, $1000 for a great fixer upper.
May need a starter, may need an engine overhaul.
I don't know or want to know. In fact, if you buy it and fix it I don't even want to know what was wrong with it!
$1000 you can have it.

Clean title in hand.

Seriously, no one wants a fully loaded Neon for $1,000?!

Even IF it cost another $1,000 to fix (and I say IF because with my luck its probably a $35 solenoid or something stupid like that) it'd still be a steal.

If the problem with the car is the same as i just went through... It's just a cam sensor. My problem cost me $24 to fix.

So someone pick this thing up. Spend a few $ and flip the car for more money.

Service records on the car?

How does Alabama do titling? I've got a friend in Birmingham that I could possibly have come title it if need be. Depends on if he has the room to store it for a few months until I'm out of the sandbox.

You get me $1,000, I sign the title over to you (or designated picker-upper), you take it to the DOT and pay like $50 for transfer...done. Title gets to you by mail in a couple of weeks. It won't be a salvage title, the car needs a good thorough tune-up or what-have-you to get it fired up and running again, after that its a totally driveable and great car with cold A/C and everything. I just don't have the want or means to do it right now.

As far as service records I have every receipt and service slip from EVERYTHING ever installed or done to the car from day one, except for the oil changes I did myself every 3-5k miles.

Went out yesterday to get some requested interior pics. It was raining and my car hasn't been cleaned in awhile so forgive the dust and rainspots....but basically your looking at a in great shape but dirty interior! Also I couldn't get the seat covers off because I didn't have the tool to get the headrest off, plus it was raining and I didn't think selling a car for a grand was going to be this much work!

Anywho if someone was interested enough I can get back out there on a dry day and take it all off and get some pics.

Take a wire and go from the engine block to the neg bat terminal and see if the car will start. I had an 02 same problem. Bet that fixes it.....

So just to clear a few things up:

1) The car has been sitting since late August 2009, NOT 2008. I had the car for sale in Feb 2009 when it was running. Instead of making a new post I modified the old post but the date did not update, hence the original post still says Feb 2009 instead of Aug 2009 like the following posts.
2) Car is still for sale, however due to high interest but low commitment I have taken it to a local highly recommended mechanic who is giving it a thourough going over and repair the starter issue.

3) When I get the repaired car back the price will no longer be $1,000. The new price will be set at $2,500 firm.

4) Bump!

5) If you haven't seen Inglourious Basterds you need to stop what you're doing and do so now.
