Just wondering if anyone is interested in my car....I am ASKING $2,700. I can negotiate the price by taking off wheels/mods, but at this point I am NOT parting it out, so please do not ask. Car will have to be sold first; if I can't sell the car-I want the car like it is to keep, make sense? OK, here we go....
First off, I have a lot of money wrapped up into this car. I got this in a trade for my 03 Neon. I have improved pretty much every angle since I got it, but it is still not perfect. If you are looking for a car that is ready for a show, rides like a Caddy or is almost new...look elsewhere. However, this is a fun little car that looks decent and is pretty reliable. I drive the car every day and see no reason it wouldn't make it across the country if needed.
Basics: 2000 Neon with a 2002 R/T swap. Including engine, tranny, rear bumper, side skirts, leather, 4 wheels disc brakes, ABS, traction control, cruise control, etc. All work great. Has an 02 front bumper.
Car runs really good, very reliable. I had some problems with the MFS harness and the rear tails not working. I bought the genuine Mopar replacement harness (the expensive one) and fixed that issue (finally). Now, I am having issues with the left front turn signal (acting like the bulb is bad, but it's not-haven't really had time to work on it) and the cig lighter is not working at this time (could just be a fuse). The power steering works great, but it has had a slight wine at low speeds ever since I have owned it. Other than that, I have had no real reliability problems.
Engine runs pretty strong. I was unable to get the secondaries to open/close with the stock pcm so I have a window switch/wot switch that works it. It is mounted "temporarily", so you are welcome to figure out the stock wiring which is still there. Clutch holds great and tranny shifts awesome (does have boogers). Mostly stock but it does make a little noise....
Mods:
AEM Intake
MPx Throttle Body
Race MM inserts
Thermal rear section
Granetalli coil and wires
It is lowered on what I think are Goldline springs w/ stock struts. Doesn't ride terrible, but new struts would realllly help it out. Wheels and tires are my favorite part of the car- Rota Slips/Kumho tires with about 8k miles. Please don't comment on how played out these are - there is a reason they are: because they kick butt. Aligned at the time of install. Drives straight and stops great. I replaced the front rotors and pads when I first got the car.
Interior is in good shape. But the dash is cracked on the passenger's side and the rear has a small tear in the leather (hardly noticable). I installed newer carpet that cleans up almost like new and the floormats are only 6 months old. A/C works but probably needs a recharge (still clears off windshield in the rain fine, but is not extremely strong in our hot summer). The rear windows have some tint that is not extremely nice, but never bothered me enough to tear it off.
The exterior will probably be the worst part of the car. Anyone picky about having a "straight" body will not like this car. The previous owner did the body/paint work and it is far from perfect. Looks GREAT from 10 ft - you can see the pics below-, but is pretty wavy and flawed with some dings close up. Paint shines ok, but there are swirls that need to be buffed out to really shine. With the wheels and the side skirts I think the car looks really good and distracts from the flaws, somewhat.
Overall, it is a really fun car to drive. It needs a little work, but for the price I don't think you can do much better. Please do not low ball me as I know how much money has been sunk into this car by the previous owner and myself. Just between the wheels/tires/intake/tb/exhaust I have over $1200 in parts. And I know how much $ you guys sink into your cars for a Magnum head/cam/exhaust. I could probably completely tear down the car and make much more than this, but I don't have the time or space to do so. And I just want the car gone. But if that means I have to sell it for next to nothing I will keep it as a second car. I don't want to put it on craigslist and have some kid buy only to not be able to appreciate what is in it.
Sorry I don't have any good recent pics. The car is very dirty here, I will have more up as soon as this weather goes away.
This is before the wheels and car has stock tails now...but at least it's clean here:
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

just an update....car is now throwing a P0456 evap leak code. It had this when I first bought the car, and it has stayed off for over a year. I put an AutoZone gas cap on back then, so it might be bad again, but I hate diagnosing these leaks, so the car is sold as is. It still runs PERFECTLY. I am not going down on the price ($2400), and will probably raise the price if our gas prices don't start dropping soon. I got over 28 mpg last tank so the car will pay for itself eventually since I just bought a less efficient vehicle....I am in no hurry to sell, but if anyone is interested let me know. I will try not to bump this anymore so if you have any questions just pm me. Thanks.
