You would want to wire it up so that the ballast for the high beam would alway be running to. Then you could use a relay to close the output circuit. Well I guess it depends how much you use your high beams, or flash them.BlackRoseRacing wrote:^^^
Exactly, the projectors use 2 h1 style bulbs, one for the Hi's,one for the low's...
You would need 2 H1 kits for the projectors if you want Hi's/Lo's.

So on the modern projector headlights, it is the projector that either shoots the low or high beam? Does anyone know what the second light is for on the inside of the projector if I am not mistaken?
Just called modern, the light on the inside if for the high beam, the projector is for low beam. so why would still need 2 kits for the high/low kit, wouldn't the same hid bulb light up through the projector for either? I'm confused.

Couldn't you just use the h1 bulb that comes for the high beam in the modern projectors? Dude I'm still confused!

yeah i dunno what they are talking about a h1 in high beam and low beam should work. like your projector will just shoot a low and hi beam i think it deals with the wiring though. to be honest i dont see any need for a hi low kit. i got the 6k h1 from chris on the last group buy and put them in my modern projectors and it is the best mod i have done so far. I cant see a need for a high beam. i can see everything with my low beam

Yes you could use the standard h1 bulb for your hi beam... but it'll be dimmer than your regulars, so why bother using your highs?
That is why they are saying you would need 2 kits. If you want HID high and low beams, you would need two.
If you just want low beam HID's then all you need is one.

HID ballasts have an open circuit voltage high enough to arc between the two connectors if there's no bulb present.....
just ask BRR what happened when he was playin with his headlights and his kid turned the headlight switch.......... still tingly chris???
Oh yeah, chris, i found one of my old ballasts from when i had projector hid fogs! right on the label, get this... Vstart = 23KV MAX
you probably got zapped by 20000+, lol

Yo BRR, I'm not gonna be able to make this group buy. I just found out I won't have the funds available til next month. Sorry. I'm still want a set, but I won't be able to get them til July. If for any reason I have left over funds before this group buy goes through, I'll send it! Sorry again.
