Should be. Although I think I may get more into partial kits and such. People have a hard time swallowing almost 4k at once, regardless of how good it is.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

Oh I have no problem with that price, enlistment bonus haha. Hahn's kit is still $4300+ for our years. You truly get what you pay for now-a-days, and this kit looks promising, especially coming from respectable poster.

Yeah, the price is more that fair, but I will still need some time to save up that kind of dough...not to mention there is a lot of stuff I need to do before my car is turbo worthy.
I am past the reenlistment bonus stage but the wife said when I make E7 I can get one

Okay so after throwing together some numbers I should be ready for this kit around May/June. I will probably be around 50K miles by then. Is that alright? Seems like a lot to me to be putting a turbo on. All regular maintainance has been done yaddayadda.
Oh and what trim is the monster power turbo equivelent too?

what intake would work with this kit? any srt intake?
is the external wastegate upgrade worth it? if i only plan on doing base boost on the provided turbo? it seems that internal wastegates are very limiting.
how much would you take off if i provided the intercooler (srt one) myself? is the piping the same?
so yea i think thats everything....

The included 3" CAI would probably be the most favorable one, I would think. Especially since it's included.
I much prefer the external as well, but it's also an upgrade you can do later without feeling guilty about it.
We could probably knock off $150 without the intercooler. Seeing that the SRT ones are going for less than $75 usually, it may be worth it for you if you want to keep your crash bar up front.

not sure if you are seriously considering the bigger turbo OR just wondering, but if you don't plan on upgrading the internals then the 'base' turbo will be more than enough. just a heads up.glasswars wrote:Oh and what trim is the monster power turbo equivelent too?

New lower upgrade prices. See the first post.
Yes, of course. Shoot me a PM, and we'll talk about what is best for you.srtjesse wrote:do you sell just the turbo? i already got everything else i had a turbonetics 60-1 but had to sell it due to a fam emergency so all im looking for is a turbo i looking to reach about 500 hp what turbo would you recomend and can this be done thanks

There are two things keeping me from doing something like this. Money (no shit), and SMOG! I assume with the proper wiring arrangement MS could be made somewhat hard to detect visually? Also, is it possible to revert to 100% stock engine parameters without involving the stock PCM (i.e. could the MS easily be tuned to mirror stock parameters)? I'm thinking I'd have to pull the turbo/mani and piping for emissions testing, go back to stock, then put it all back together after the test. I'm already in that boat with intake/exhaust, so I might as well have a GOOD reason for all that work every 2 years

Bring it to Ohio and I'll do it for you. Hell, maybe Erick can even swing over.Jerome Adams wrote:For me it is mechanical knowledge (I have none)... the money part is starting to turn around for me, so I should be able to afford it sometime next summer/fall.

Hell, I'd rather not do the install. Tuning is the fun part. I'd like to get behind the keyboard in your car too, Chris.

There you go. Done deal, Jerome.
You buy the kit, I'll do the install (we'll work something out), then Erick can come do the tuning. Couldn't be easier to have boost.

Hope to. Buy honestly, we make very little on the kits. It's certainly not worth the time we put into them. It's been more profitable just selling single turbos to honda guys.2005.Neon.SXT wrote:I might have to take you guys up on that lol. But I'm not looking to get turbo till I get out of the Marine Corps. Think you guys will be around [workin on Neons and whatnot and still have the Turbo kit for sale] around the spring of 2011?

You never know, 2005.Neon.SXT. Just drop Erick a line when you get to that point.
Also, if anyone else in interested in taking us up on this offer please feel free to get in contact with Erick and myself. I have spoken with Erick about this and at this point you can look at it as a mutual co-op, of sorts.
Just throwing that out there in case anyone is interested.

We're looking at setting up a weekend out there in Ohio in the spring to wire and tune as many cars as can make it. We can probably figure out 3 days if we have enough cars to make it worth driving. And then I don't charge the mileage/airfare of getting me to wherever your car is.
