LEd's are the future of vehicle lighting, yes adding cheap led's to every part of your car......gay, however there are several high end cars that utilize nothing but LED's for tail lights, and a pre-production Lexus that is using them as headlights. Imagine a headlight bulb that NEVER goes out......EXTREMELY lightweight....plus comes in ultracool fastest and most furriest colors, LOL.

But seriously, LED's are the future of vehicle lighting, better than HID!!!

My tail lights are LED's, and you know how I can tell that they aren't rice?

Because when I hit my brakes at night it SCARES THE SH!T OUT OF PEOPLE BEHIND ME....! And then they don't hit me.

I agree that they have a bad rap, but seriously, never knock a good thing.

RICER LEGAL CONTENT: I am in no way condoning the use of these lights unmodified.

Man when I first read this I was excited, untill I saw the pictures. Yikes, and for 300 dollars too. The angle eyes and leds on top of everything look awfull, as well as all the chrome. I would like to know how well they perform though. All in all Im glad I made my own projectors.

if they made them for 03+ one could shave there side markers and run the ones in the housing as the parking/ turnsignals i am sure the leds are replacable as most are universal bulbs, so when the prie does drop it wouldnt be hardto get some amber leds in there and have a one off look. just my .02. oh angles dont look bad if good quality, but to each his own heres a set on one of my fav. s-10's of all time, i am a die hard 1st gen s-10 fan! http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/ ... leeyes.jpg

yes, but its almost my favorite truck, def. my fav 2nd gen. here is my 2 fav 1st gen. s dimes of course the first one im partial to becasue it was my old truck the second is a guy on another forum i am part of that built a fully functional bigblock s-10, yeah 515 cubic inches!with air and power steering! now thats an accomplishment! better yet all the parts on the motor are genral parts you can get at any parts store so if he's at a show and it breaks down he will have no prob. gettin parts, the pics of the engine are unreal it looks as though it were there from the factory. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/ ... yclone.jpg

 If you ever come back on here you have to post pics of them since so many people are interested in what they look like on the car and how they perform.

I myself am curious. I'd love to have projectors with my HIDs, but those LEDs and all the extra lights on them kind of scare me. But the black ones look way better then the chrome ones IMO.

NICE s10! my boyfriend has those headlightsand turn signals on his 01 S10, and thats his favorite truck as well.

AS for the projectors for the neon, I like the black ones better, but I hate those extra led's. My eyelids would cover the top led's. I would not pay $300 for them though. If someone gets them, Id like to see how they look though. Installed and at night.

man i really like those headlights on that red s-10 that is very unique good stuff, yeah i am going to start a ground up build on a 92 s dime very soon, it sucks that the aftermarket is sooo limited to 2nd gen neons right now, with s -10s the sky's the limit hard to adjust to the limited avail. on these neons, the pcm is really burnin myass right now as there shouldnt be that big of a difference from one pcm in acertain car to another ie neons compared to civics is a prime example, i really dont believe that its any harder to do, its just that a company isnt going to go out of its way to do it till there is what they think is enoughdemand for it, and lets be real most non srt neons are owned by people with little extra money going to college, people lookin for a cheap and economical work car, single parents etc. and the factory support isnt there for non srt's, go buy a scion and you can order it off the showroom floor with a supercharger and coilovers, just because the factory support is there the aftermarket takes notice and jumps on the gun. just my .02 on the whole thing, pisses me off though.

Yah those look better, I'd like to see them on a car and see how the light output is for quality. If I had the money I'd pick them up to see how well they look, if I did get them though I'd have to change the led and angel eye lights to white. The turn signal area looks better but I like the way the stockers look over anything.

I'd like to know now what size bulb goes into the Halogen housing and also into the Projector housing :-?

Here are some more pics from another seller...

Eh... not cool. Not that I care because they arent for the 03s... pfft. I wish they would come out with decent projectors for the 03+ that work right and actually put out a good ammount of light unlike the decently expensive undecently operating APC projectors I bought for my old 96 neon... WOW they sucked, I had to use my fog lights to actually see where I was going at night, and when they broke damn I just bought a new neon.. Now I'm pretty much afraid to buy projectors because my new neon dosent have fog lights.. Or maybe any other brand but APC works... yeah probably

well lets face facts, everything today is becoming more energy efficient, and since led's are much more efficient than bulbs will ever be, yeah, i can see why everyone and their brothers are switching, but then again, i have a business of selling led stuff, so i'm partial.....

I try to make products that are less rice and more functional, like my third brake light, and led oem tail lights. they work great, use less power, and get the job done right. The third brake light has the option of turn signals, very bright unit, people will DEFINATLY know you're stopping. the led oem tails are still quite bright, and are safer than bulbs even more still.....

there's been tests done showing that when behind a car with incandescant bulbs, you have "X" amount of time to react, where when behind a car with LED's, you have .5seconds MORE time to react since the LED's are instant on, instant off. This is much safer becuase it doesnt take as long for people to react to you hitting your brakes. just like lambostealth said.

so replacing your tail lights with led's has a few benefits for everyone, long life, safer, etc. and for the nay sayers that led's arent as bright as bulbs  (brightness/contrast was not messed with, this is how the pic came out to begin with)

Yeah I like the black housing one's the best...but I would never invest that much money off of an ebay image....I'll have to wait to see them on someone else's neon. LOVE the Idea though!

Yea I want to see the light output still. Anyone going to take the plunge? Those black ones really are not that bad.... If I didnt have my projectors I would think about it depending on the light.

He is a member here, just PM him, his name is haknslash.......If yo usearch for pics of my car you will see exactly what they look like and how they perform.

The ones that are on my car are about $900, if you want high beams you are looking at about $1,100, I don't have the highs, but I have never had the urge to need them, and I live in a small country community in Cali. Lots of road without street lights, desolate country roads, these things are like pointing the sun in front of your car!!
