Yes, definately do a good write up on these, I also might be able to get you an HID kit REALLY cheap to try out on them to see how good they perform with HID's.......let us know details, also take good beam pictures, I would like to see the beam up close to a wall as well as like 20ft away, 40 ft, etc. Also make sure you take a pic of the pattern on the ground........don't forget to let me know what bulb they take, so I can help you with an HID kit!

No idea, I tried e-mail one of the companies to ask them what bulb sizes it takes, how the LEDs function, things of that sort and got no response :-?

Found a rear shot, I believe I found the bulb sizes also, H7 lows, H1 highs......however it is plug and play, with the high and low beams already spliced for you.

Looks like hooking up the LED's is optional, you have to splice them into whatever you want them to work with, might be kind of cool just as an alternating blinker ala Mercedes sidemarkers.

Dropping in price pretty fast nowadays. I'll wait and see how they look on a car, then I'll prob. get me a pair.

The Lenses on these headlights, will chip Very easily.. Im pretty sure they are made out of cheaper material.. I have noticed that all aftermarket headlights, are more prone to rock chipping.. so its a good idea to go get some rock blocker film.. and put it on your lights when they are still brand new.. that way, they stay in nice shape, all nice n clear.. and you could always replace the film one its gets warn.

These particular headlights I don't know about, but, DEPO, Eagle Eye (Ebay all black housing headlights for 03+), and TYC use Polycarbonate, it is the EXACT same stuff that is used by Valeo (maker of your factory headlights). So, I guess the only ones that would be more prone to chipping and cracking are these lights if that is in fact true, but I doubt they use anything less than polycarbonate.

Also that rock gaurd crap distorts your beam a little.

i just know someone who has tyc euro black headlights, and they have chipped pretty bad over like 6 months... much worse then my lights at 5 years now.. and i didn't do anything special at all..
You can buy rock blocker at most places that sell automotive stuff.. you might wanna call around to some local automotive stores... since your probably not in canada.. i dont know where exactly to tell you to look!

It could have a lot to do with thier driving style, maybe they don't care if they follow big rigs close, or live in an area with a lot of unpaved roads, it could be a lot of variables. But I know for absolute certainty, that TYC, and DEPO are made with the EXACT same polycarbonate as factory lighting.

Not saying that your friend can't possibly have the excess of chips, but it is in fact the same stuff, as well as the thickness.

Go check out rockblocker.com, they sell precut films at different thicknesses and colors for almost all cars, and all exterior lighting, including tails, fogs, markers, and third brakelights. The clear film for the headlights does distort the beam *slightly*.
