Hey, what do you guys do about rock chips? I have 3 or 4 nasty ones on my hood from driving so far on the interstate to work. I am working a lot closer to home now, so I hope not to get many if at all. But, I still need to fix these.

get touch up paint and use a very small brush to fill it in???

I did that before...used a toothpick and it was barely noticable to other people, but now I tape the car up if im getting on the interstate to avoid rock chips.

Blue painters tape like they sell at walmart. It wont harm the paint and its easy to use.

Someone else on here said in another thread that they go to the dealers hip and get a big roll of the white tape that the new cars have on them, costs about $50 and it lasts forever.

We have this stuff at Napa, it's a color specific wax with a little "Chip Stick" of your colored goop, it's supposed to do something about fading and I believe rock chips.... think turtle wax makes them. I'll look around.
