Yeah, I'm not really happy with the eyelids either....I really wanted them color matched but no one makes them in weird maroon. They were kind of an after thought with the left overs.

you did a nice job on it, but i still cant see why people put on CF trunks.... (or try to make them look it) makes a car look so.........frankenstien'ed to me..... i like all one sharp/bold color....

Wow, looks great, as for the CF comment I think it has nothing to do wtih looking like CF, look at the Charger Daytonas.. I think its pretty cool.. But everyone has their own opinion on it. I personally like the vinyl on the trunk.

Evidently we have different tastes than you. I like mine because they make the front of the car look a bit mean or... Pissed off. Just changes the looks of the front end completely.

Well, since my headlights are pretty much screwed I tried sanding them with 2000 grit sand paper and buffing. This didn't work out so well and they still look like crap. Anyhow, given the texture of the plastic I just drew out a pencil line until I was kinda happy with it on the light itself. Then I took electrical tape and matched the curve (only because it bends easy and its what I had on hand).

Then, I traced the outline on a piece of notebook paper and transfered it to the vinyl. I cut the curve and started working it back trimming as I went. The only problem is not really knowing what the end result will be until its done. Oh well, its a learning experience.

On another note, I got a buffer today and will begin the task of wet sanding the entire car to get the scratches out. It looks like somone stored cardboard boxes on any flat surface they could find (trunk, hood and roof). I've never done that either so wish me luck!

Good job on the trunk man....FTW on that one. But not feeling the shape of the eyelids so much. Anyway, good luck with your future projects!

I like the way they look but they do attract the attention of the cops. They are always rubber necking my ride since I put those on. I'm trying to keep a low profile but the eyelids don't follow that scheme. Personally the only way I'd do eyelids is paint and have them color matched. I tried black but they just don't work as well. Color match for the win! :D
