today before i left for work, i was leaning on my hood. when i got up, part of my rubber belt and my dickies left, like sort of a scuff mark on the clear coat...no scratches. i rubbed my ringer over it and it doesnt come off. the hood was hot and i dont know if it had anything to do with it. anyway, its been a month since i had my whole front repaired and repainted. would it come off if i buffed it?

Before you go buffing it and removing the month old soft clearcoat, get yourself a claybar, I had a car hit my Mazda, and it just kind of scuffed my paint, I clay barred it, good as new.......just follow directions on the clay bar.

Clay bar should do the trick. The paint/clearcoat aren't quite old enough to start buffing it already.

What are you talking about? Clear can be buffed from the day after it sets. Its never too "young" to cut and buff. I just cut and buffed my friends OEM VW paint and it came out perfect. Just gotta know what grit to use and what you're doing.
