03-05 Front Bumper Mod, Anyone seen this before?

Hey guys I was wondering around on autotrader and came across this front bumper. Looks like they just cut out plastic grill, and put a lip on it. I was thinking for a stock bumper, paint the chrome inserts to match, debadge it, and maybe some tasteful grill behind everything, it might not look that bad?
Anyone else done this? Thanks - Ryan

I think it looks nice, besides the grey mesh. Black would look awesome though.

easily done with a hack saw and paint booth

or a dremel and no paint booth.

but if you don't use a paint booth you'll end up with black spots where you cut out the plastic.
it's not color impregnated

not a fan of the way that looks. The upper grille is my only gripe with the 03+ and I solved that issue.

I was looking at my bumper today when i was washing it, I have fog lights in my bumper. I think it'd be kinda tough to cut them around the fog light surrounds and make it look clean.
If I get a few minutes I'll photochop my car and see how it looks

i got a moment to see how it might look, here's what i came up with.
Darker Grill
Lighter Grill
if it's done right i think it has the potential to look pretty nice. i'd also like to put a lip on there too, i'll try if i get a moment

Darker Grill

Wow, if you could make it look exactly like that, it would look REALLY good, but I think it's harder than you think...

Nothing beats an 02 R/T front end IMO.
Edit: Except the SRT4 body all the way around.

those are all nice, the chrome and the goofy bottom on the grill is why I did NOT buy an 03+ when I bought my ACR.
