rim rash, show coming up!!!

hey guys hope all is well. unfortunately for me all is not... i curbed the S#!T out of my right front wheel the other day...

once i finished getting sick... i went to look at the damage. i think i can grind it out and re polish it then re balance the wheel but i honestly think for it to look right i would have to order another one.

so my question to all you guys who do shows and such... is this going to be a major gig against my car... I have hyper black tenzo passion 5's... they dont even make my wheel in that color anymore...

so i know its just one wheel but for now, will that be a huge deal for judges and so forth or not that big of a deal? i guess i could try to hide it with a plaque or sign or something... but i got about 1/3rd of the wheel... still makes me nauseas...

I would assume it would be a big deal for judges because it shows that you hit curbs, lol.

Sucks about your situation, you might be able to sand it down a bit to make it less noticeable, but idk about gone.

I have a friend that does shows all summer, I curbed mine as well an was just as sick. But I was told that it really doesnt matter. My friend showed all year with curbed rims an he placed or won 12 out of 15 shows (I think that was the muber). He told me not to worry about it. Of course it still bugged me cause it happen in the first place. I was p*ssed! I suppose it depends on the show an the judges. It could really go either way.

Yeah i dont make it a habbit to curb my wheels... am so careful with those wheels... but it just took one time of not paying attention and thud... just this feeling of i just wasted 250buks... but Blue im with you.. it may not be a big deal in the greater scheme but its like the scratch that no one sees... you still know its there!!

Yeah, I feel what you are saying. I curbed 2 on one side coming out of the drive thru at the bank. Im like you an try to be careful as I can but then hey Crap happens lol shrugs. Nothing I can do about it now so there wasnt any point in beating myself up over it. There is a post here somewhere about fixing that problem somewhere..... Good Luck with your show!!
