Perhaps there is a how to that I missed while using the search...

If not, how do I remove the rear bumper?

Thanks,

John

10 Pop out your tailights (from inside trunk), 2) you should see the 10mm bolts between the frame and the bumper holding it on. (two or three)3) Remove the wheel well cover screws and plugs, 4) and there's either two or three screws along the trunk line (open the trunk for this). 5) Catch it before it hits the ground!

The ones behind the taillights are a pain! I took off the wheel well covers to try to get a better angle but even then...whatcha working on?

Rear ended and the body shop is too lazy to take it off for photos underneath prior to repair so I need to do it.

THAT is lazy!!! I'd take it somewhere else if they're that lazy!! LOL. If you need anything else let me know. I know I was kinda vauge but it really is simpler than most think. Should take like 10 min. tops.

My regular body shop took it apart and did a full estimate. I took it to another place to get an estimate and I was going to take photos while thedy did it. This place only takes it apart if you are getting it repaired so the estimate was junk. The bill is going to double once they get the cover off. So yes I am going to find another place.

For the 10mm bolts I use a rachet boxed end wrench with a 5 degree bend. Cersent(spelling) makes a set for like around 40 bucks and they great for working on our cars

I was under the car yesterday trying to take a bumper off. The wheel well cover screws or pins are a b*tch to get off. The snap in but you have to screw them out. I cut my fingers trying to get them off. Is there another way to get those pins out our just break them?

Nothing snaps off or breaks. Unscrew wheel well covers, pop out the christmas tree plug things if any still exist, and grab a looooooong extension with a 10mm wrench and turn until your arm is swollen.
