side door pillars... a touch of color?

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

side door pillars... a touch of color?

Post by Pablodragon » Mon Aug 06, 2007 10:12 pm

yeah or nah?... I think some people paint the whole pillars, but I tried it in photo-shop and didn't like them all red. Tried this in real life, with some left over red pin-stripe, so it can be easily removed...

I think there are other things about your car that you probably should have consulted others about before doing.

But to stay on topic, i think it should be left all black

They are just 14" chrome trim rings from the local auto parts store...and I actually ran a red pin stripe around the inside to add some red to the wheels.

Yea, I know everyone hates the "erector set" wing... and the scoops, and the stickers, blah, blah, blah...it's ok...and I didn't get my copy of "do's and don'ts of customizing a Neon" guide.(wouldn't read it anyway... ).. It's all good to me...I just like to be an individual. :thefinger: bring the hate

I gleen all kinds of little tid-bits from the board... and I am like the king of cheap.. I have probably spent like a grand total of less than 8k on the car, including the price of the car.

One of the reasons I tried, and wanted to offer up, that little side pillar thing, is I was at work and noticed in the parking lot, every car that is like a sedan, every one of them has the black center pillars..so I'm like, what would make that different... so, hence, tried it.... someone said CF pillars, but from far away they still look like black
