Cutting the hole in my AAR hood's scoop...HELP!

I'm trying to get the AAR Cuda hood funtional, but I don't know the 1st thing about cutting holes in fiberglass...don't know where to start. I'm also going to cut a hole under the hood, near the exhaust manifold so the air vents into the engine bay and cools it off. Anyone got any pointers? Anything would help greatly! And if you need pictures, I'll go right outside and take some. Thanks guys!

Drill a hole or a few holes around the perimiter of where you want your hole, then go to town with your hand jig. Draw a line where you intend to cut, and take your time. Also wear longsleeve shirt, gloves, and something to cover your face, like a bandana or something. Fiberglass sucks ass when it gets on your skin.

I was thinking of a cutting bit from Dremel or something...would that work? You know, like those tile-cutting bits?

i'd do what lambo said, i'd then use a sheetrock saw to do the final cutting

Sheet rock saw is pretty coarse, I would use a tight fit hacksaw.

Personally, i would use a dremel with a cutting disc and make a small rough cut near the edge. then just use a 60 grit sanding drum on your dremel to get the final edge.

hey, You dont want to cool off your exhaust on a non turbo car. cooling exhaust gasses slow them down

I say use a marker or something to draw a line on how you want the cut out to look then cut it out with a dremel.... Then use a file or sand paper to smooth out the rough edges... The dremel can be your worest enemy and/or your best friend...

personally, i wouldnt use it. I have used one in the past and they tend to jump when they come in contact with a surface. You don't want it to scratch up your hood.
Simply use the cutting wheel to make a few incisions near the edge. Then join up the cuts until the area comes out. Grind down to the edge with a 60 grit drum. You can then go over it for a final pass with 120 grit drums.
