these lights have the blue halo rings and the leds on the side now in NJ it is very frowned upon to have these blue lights in the front of youre car. The wiring they give you for these lights is it able to hook up a switch to the halos and the led lights seperatly? has anyone done this?

they're not blue...they're white...they just appear to be blue.

You can replace the led's for the halo's and the led's off to the sides as well. the ones on the sides have a polygonal LED, but can also use a normal 3mm-10mm round led as well. the halo's use 2 3mm led's.

i would highly recommend an HID kit for the projector. I did it to mine and the output increased exponentially.

its hard to say. most kits on ebay aren't the best, but they will do the job for some time. you get what you pay for, so just keep that in mind. if you buy a $70 HID kit...you're getting a $70 HID kit...

My friend has had pretty good experience with ebay HID he has bought severel kits for his cars and they seem to do alright ill probbaly pick one of those up and see how it goes what do you mean modify the housing?

no no, you dont modify the housing, you modify the hid burner(the "bulb")...

get yourself a kit and i'll explain further...

since these typically use H1 bulbs.. and the car stock is 9007.. do these come with plug n play adapters for the wiring harness or what?

all you would have to wire is the LED's and the halo's.

yes you can wire them to a switch or can do like i did halos got wired to the park lights and leds got wire to the turn signal.

nitehawk: i have the h1 projectors and was wondering how you mod them to get brighter.

the led's and halo's arent wired to anything when you open the box. it's your choice how/where to wire them.

the headlights themselves have 9007 Female plugs on them with wires running to the low and highbeam bulbs. So yes, aside from the halo's and led's, they're plug n play right out of the box.

evilneon02: hid kit...only way...

my experience with putting an HID kit in them is that the HID bulb will have 2 small knubs on the base, these are normally used to align the bulb, but becasue of the orientation of the projectors, these are now going to be in the way. you will have to CAREFULLY cut them off.

The return wire for the bulb will have to sit sideways...not the way it should be, but thats teh only way with these headlights, any other way and the bulb holder wont close.

Speaking of which... once you get teh hid bulbs sitting inside, you will have to focefully make the holder close and lock in place... the extra thickness around the wires coming off the bulb make it harder to close, but NOT impossible...

what did you mean by this. my projectors came with h1 bulbs but they are not bright to me can i make them brighter and i always hear people say not to use hid bulbs but they people say they use hid will it mess up the housing

Xenon burners(hid) run colder than Halogen bulbs...there's no danger in that sense.

There's no way to make the halogen bulbs brighter.....all you could hope for is to get better bulbs... HID is the only way to get maximum output.

when i say burners, i'm reffering to HID "bulbs". Their real name is a Gas Discharge Capsule, not a "Bulb". So to explain again, I had to modify my HID "bulbs" to fit in the projector housings...

another question

all the projectors look like they have seperate high/low beam bulb spots



but since we use a dual beam bulb and not two seperate bulbs for high/low is there a way to actually use two separate ones? and make use of the two spots in the projectors?

especially when using a HID kit, is there a way to still have a halogen bulb high beam?

yes, those headlights have the wiring already taken care of for us...

it has a 9007 female plug that plugs into the factory plug, and then has lines running to the highbeam and lowbeam...

so what about using a HID kit then? like the one for sale on SRT Forums says its low beam only.. and most hid kits i assume would be, so how could you still have high AND low beams when it takes your 1 factory plug and uses it for the low beam hid?

the kit on srt forums has 2 wires coming off the plug that seem not to be used for anything, and i dont think the guy ever answered the question about them if they could be used for high beams

id like hid, but i want high beams too.. with these projectors

all you need is an H1 hid kit, the headlights, some wire, inline fuse holder, relay, connectors, electrical tape or heat shrink, and solder.........and some patience...

i have HID lows and halogen highs on my car...i'm using 2 relay harnesses to do it...

1 relay harness for lowbeam HID.....1 relay harness for highbeam halogen...

it sounds like a pain in the a$$ all that work

i have all of the blue halos and LEDS running whenever the lights are on since march. and i'm from nj. you'll be fine.

so wait are they blue or white? if there white i could run them all the time its just where im located cops are a holes about this stuff

if you're that worried about upsetting the cops and just want the looks of the headlight you can plug it in with out wiring up the LEDs and the Halos.

agreed. the leds and halos are WHITE with a blueish tint. more white than anything. im almost 100% sure you will be fine

they are DOT/SAE approved so if a cop pulls you over or anything, shove his head on the bottom of the headlight to show him the stamps
