Looks like decent quality, decent price and it'll make my Neon NOT look like a Neon, LOL.

i'm not liking it too much. the front is alright but the rear bumper is just horrendous. i do like that it's made out of the duraflex stuff though.

I think it has to be a Generational thing. Stuff I like most of ya'll don't. If you look at the age difference too, I think that has to be why. Just like the louvers deal, I think a set of louvers would look killer on a Neon, most of ya'll 20 something dudes don't like the idea. Of course I like metal and ya'll probably like hip hop, LOL. I'm just going to go with what I like and not worry about what everyone else likes so much. Not to disrespect ya'll opinions, it's just I think my opinion is just as valid too.

Whoa whoa whoa... you think i likehip hop?

Anyways, I love the front and rear of that kit, but HATE the side skirts... hate them so much.

An old members car with that kit:
Image
Image

See how the sides set? I hate it.

And actually I've known about 4 people to come onto this message board with that kit. And you want to talk about kits people hate? This is what my car used to look like.

Image

Everyone HATES that kit, but I still sported it with pride while I had it. :)

Oh, and do a ton of reasearch before you place an order for a body kit. Get it from a reputable place. Lots of companies fuck people over on these things....

Now see, that's where we have very different tastes in cars. I like the looks of the yellow car's body kit, all it needs is a front lic. plate delete and it'd look killer. I figure if I can't make the car run fast I can at least make it look fast. LOL.

Opi's old kit looks like a cowpitch on a steam train

I think the kit he wants is fine, except the sides. But sides can be changed to something else. I like the Kaminari sides.

I was going to get the R34, but at the last minute I came across the Versus kit I have now. It looks a little more aggressive than the R34 while maintaining a similar look.

But you will find two kinds of car people: Those who love kits, carbon Fiber, and booming stereos....and those who think all that stuff is hideous crap and a waste of money if it doesn't go 200 mph! (and even then some would still call it crap).

I'd sell you mine if you were local.

You kit looks Sweet OD418. You'd never know that you were driving a Neon. There are quite a few Neons running around my neck of the woods and I want to look totally different then the run of the mill stock Neon. Some people are happy fitting in and looking the same as everyone else, I'm not one of those people. I want my car to look like nothing else on the road.

and i'm the 3rd type... i like TASTEFULL body kits.TASTEFULL carbon fiber is ok. and damn straight i have a "booming stereo". but i HATE over the top body kits. i HATE too much carbon fiber. and i HATE, more than the first two, when people have a system and it's not in toon and everything on their car vibrates

Very different tastes? That yellow car IS my car. That's what it looked like last summer, then I changed the front bumper, changed the entire body kit, put WAY to much money into all of then got screwed out of a lot of things. Decided to cut my losses, sold everything off, and now my neon looks stockish. :)

I don't even listen to my CD player, LOL. I like to hear what the engine is doing when I drive. If I want to listen to music I'll break out my bass, crank up my amp and turn on my home stereo system and rock out.

That's what I'm saying, you didn't like the kit you had, I think it looked good, I'd have left it on the car. It makes it more unique, more one of a kind, more your's. Anyone can drive a stock looking Neon, just pick up one at your local dealer and hit the road but it takes some work to make a Neon look different.

heh "unique" is not always "good". The elephant man and the guy from that movie in the 80's, "Mask"... that was "unique" but it was still grotesque.

That body kit looked weird. It's not even a full front fascia, just a lip, so it looks huge and tacked on. Actually what he had after that was great, but I understand why he offloaded his stuff.

Anyways "different" isn't always good. Just drive through downtown L.A. and check out all the "different" ghetto-ass rides.

Or go to http://www.riceboypage.com

Anyways the one you're interested in is nice. It's not rediculous looking, still distinct, but flows well with the lines of the chassis.

That bottom one is "different" in a Rat Rod sort of way. LOL. I want different like Evo different, not like "Trailer Trash" different. I've seen kits that I didn't care for at all, they looked too much like other cars that I don't really like the looks of but the R34 has that Evo look that I like.

there isn't anything even remotely close to that for a 2GN, and if there was I don't think it would look good with the Neon's body lines or either '00-02 or '03-05 headlights. It's the old problem of "that looks good on him or her" but when we buy it and wear it, it looks stupid on us. the Evo X concept front end looks good for the rest of the Evo X body.

I love that concept, but as far as I know, the Evo X is still a concept (although it's probably close to what it will look like)...
