I was going to try and polish my thick 5 spoke Konig Glides a while back......... it took me a week to just strip ONE. I gave up and painted them all two-tone silver/graphite.

You want to make them polished with the red lip?

BRR and Marakka had polished SRT wheels... that might give you an idea of what it would look like

the wheel wouldn't look bad polished .. but it would be a bitch to polish up ...

personally i would get them chem stripped .. then powdercoated in the 'chrome' finish ... that looks like polished aluminum ...

that all depends on which year of the R/T you are talking about ...

the 'first' R/T wheels for the 2nd gen .. looks almost like the srt-4 ACR wheels ...

it is the wheel that most people call the silverstone ... IIRC

I may have to ask the guy at my work since he does powder coating if he is able to do a chrome finish.

anyone that powdercoats should be able to get the 'chrome' finish. it isn't chrome like you would expect, though. it is more along the lines of polished aluminum once the clear goes on.

it will end up costing about the same amount as it would for you buying the stuff to strip and polish your wheels on your own ...

well, if you go to a shop that does coatings (powdercoating, chroming, etc) it probably will cost more than you would like to pay. however, if you can find anyone that does powdercoating out of their garage (and does a decent job) you will usually find much better prices.

if you lived closer to me i could set you up with my powdercoater. his prices are the best i have ever seen. his work is top notch, too. he does a lot of work for a custom chopper builder doing their frames and custom pieces.
