so i did. it looked good except for the faint paint line it left under it. barley noticeable.

I got a little overzealous and decided to do the emblems too. so off came the sxt badge...along with the paint... so on went the sxt badge...along with the paint. good as new

Yup decided I was gonna take my sidemouldings off, got the rear passenger side one off, hah it went back on pretty quick. The clear coat was screwed, my emblems came off fine tho.

phew... so i thought my emblem tore my paint off but it was just the back of the sticker. came off good but it faded my paint cause i rubbed it too much... oh well it still looks amazing! pics up soon

Next time try using a bug and tar remover, I know I did to get rid of the emblem adhesive left on the car, it wiped off with no effort.

or dental floss, and then goo-gone or gasoline, or bug and tar remover to get off the sticky stuff leftover.... good idea to wash it off after hitting it with all the chemicals tho...

i used goo-gone. i think it may have oxidized the paint a bit seeing as though when i got it on my hand it dried it out...

I took mine off also, last year.. mine is also a 2004 but I saw no evidence of any difference in the paint underneath... you didn't say what color yers was tho... or maybe it's because yer in Cali and I'm in Michigan...weather difference

Mine is an SE model and did come with some double pinstripes going down the sides, under the windows... took those off too, and had no trouble with the passenger side, but the drivers side left some crud that I still cant get off to this day... I keep think it was damaged paint, but every time I look at it, it just looks like adhesive crap... but I've tried everything to get it off and no-go

..and it's not that you can see it unless you look...it just bugs me

ew thats sucks...mine is a blue sxt. the line doesn't really bug me at all. I just love the fact that those ugly side moldings are gone. i always disliked them...
