windows are loose (what to fix?)

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

windows are loose (what to fix?)

Post by -Devil- » Mon Feb 11, 2008 9:15 am

ok, i noticed while cleaning the tint off my side windows ... that they are loose ... (i can grab it and tilt it forward and backward in the door frame, there is no side to side movement though)

is there some bushings or clips that i need to replace to remedy this? ...

if so, can someone point me to the P/N for them .. so i can get them to have on hand when i replace my power window motor and finish cleaning off the last of the tint from under the door panel and such ..

The only thing between the regulator and the glass are two retainers that hold the glass to the liftplate...part #5008055AA, MSRP $2.20 each. There are two per door.

Take off your trim panel and lower your window slightly. While you move the glass, check to see where the play seems to be coming from. My guess is those retainers may be worn.

Hope this helps
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
