If I were to buy a new trunk or buy one from someone else would it include the lock, latches and springs? I know it sounds insanely dumb but I really just don't know.

if you bought it off someone else, just make sure that i comes with the items you want. if you still have your trunk, you might want to swap out the lock cylinders so your key works.

i don't know about the things that come on a new one from the dealer

The thing that sucks is my trunk doesn't close sometimes and the guy at dodge made a quick fix by applying some lube there and it looks just god awful.
