That actually looks much better

It would probably make a bigger difference on a black neon though.

LOL, I just did the same thing to mine. Just pop it off, rough it up a bit with some sand paper so the paint will stick then put about 3 coats of semi-gloss black on it. I think it looks a lot better but then I HATE chrome on a car.
?You know what the difference between me and you really is? You look out there and see a horde of evil, brain eating zombies. I look out there and see a target rich environment.?

haha funny thing is that i got flat black paint but since i didnt prime it first it came out semi-shiny. i like it so much better than the chrome though. it felt like i was driving around a car that says "haaaaaai! lemme squeeze yer butcheeks!"

:withstupid: take that plate offa there! and if you dont want the holes do what i did and buy some proper sized plastic dowel turn the end of it down smooth on a drill, color match it and then press fit it in there so it just had a little bump where the hole is,and if you get a ticket or whatever pop them out and put your plate back on

Image

here is a pic of the holes filled on my car.cant even notice them at all

Hopefully that won't end up chipping quickly because of that. It's always much better to put down at least one coat of primer. I usually go 3 very light coats spaced out.

My car is getting this done very soon. I'm still torn whether I want to body-match it, or go black like the grille.

Lol, I just did this to my car too in flat black. I also painted the dodge emblem red, since i wanted no chrome on the grille at all.
