I've been rigging this every month for the last 5 years and I want to get a permanent fix on it. Go ahead and tell me if I'm better off purchasing a replacement panel.

This panel took a serious beating in the 2 years prior to me buying the car. One of the holes that attach it is so wide that it slides off the bolt in a few weeks of me re-attaching it.

I've even gone as far as placing zip-ties in various locations across the panel but it gets pulled back down in no time.

The hole in the panel has been widened over time. From what I see the bumpers great. My big concern is the wiring that it's protecting. Does anyone have a diagram showing what's running down there?

a large piece of the wiring harness runs right above the lower core support on my srt. Many people run without the front air dam with no problems. All its designed for is directing air up over the radiator. I don't think they're that expensive. Try to find one in decent shape at a junkyard before going to the dealer tho.

Mine's been off for a few years now and I never noticed a difference. You could probably leave it off if if you can't find a cheap on at a junkyard.

zip ties have been my friend too, lol

except NOT having it on has caused my fog light bulbs to blow from getting wet (i think, anyways, not really sure what else could have been the cause).

I think the official name is Air-dam.....

mine has been off since i bought the car, no problems what so ever.... i think it protects the radiator, redirects air flow, and affects the car's aerodynamics (at least in theory )....

i remember the dealer sells them new for $40ish....

I had the same issue with mine last summer due to previous owner getting a little too cozy with the curb when parking one time too many.

None of the bolts were holding it in place as the holes in the dam had widened such that they were useless.

I removed all the bolts and used those bolt holes along with black wire ties to pull it back up into place.

My lower front end is scratched something fierce. There's also a couple wires hanging down that are cut off, but I didn't feel like tracing them yesterday.
