LED/Neon underbody kits?

So i recently purchased a 2003 neon sxt and im trying to customize it a bit to my liking. If heard different feedback from both LED lights as well as Neon lights, and my quesiton is which last longer and are brighter? Also, i see people driving with them on ALL of the time (i live in Austin, Texas) but ive heard that its against the law to drive with them on
and before i do spend money buying them i want to make sure that its legal to drive with them on. Appreciate all replies in advance.

The best thing is to call your local jurisdiction and ask about legality. Odds are its illegal to drive with them on.

Just be safe and don't drive with them on. I would go with neons, I like the spread it gives better than LEDs.
My car when I had them. I miss them.

...If you are going to neons/LED's...please make sure the tube is completely hidden by the body. Nothing pisses me off more than when I can see the entire tube under the front bumper.

its illegal in texas. period. but laws are meant to be broken/bent right? just dont get caught.

check with the local PD because most likely they are illegal since the ones ive seen said "for off road use only". Jus drive off the road and youll be fine... LOL jk.
