It wont fit the lip kit. I sold my srt exhaust to a buddy who had the lip kit on his SXT. the cut outs arent wide enough.. Plus its crazy loud. I think it just clamps right in..

:withstupid: yea, the tips won't line up with the cut outs. i have the srt4 exhaust on my 04 including the mid-pipe (which has two resonators) and it's pretty loud. i like it, some ppl don't. it bolts right up but i'm not sure about the glasspack part of your question. if i had to guess, i would say that it does need to be welded in.

you may want to have the entire thing welded up when you install the glasspack because my rear section rattled like crazy and sounded like crap because of it

I like to let off the throttle at 90-100 MPH next to someone else on the freeway. Then again, I'm an ass

sorry to thread-jack. But does the SRT exhaust touch the regular 02 bumper?

I put a 27" Dynomax Magnum glasspack inline with my srt rear section... It's still pretty loud I think, but maybe just a tad bit quieter than when I had the resonators in.

Everything bolts right up in the stock locations.

I installed a SRT cat-back on a '00. It touched the bumper slightly. What I did was mount it, and let the tips melt the bumper. It sounds ghetto as hell, but it really works!

After the bumper is melted, lower the rear section again and the melted plastic can be pulled right off. It didn't melt onto the tips, the paint did not discolor, and the bumper has a perfect size cut-out. The exhaust looks really good on those bumpers btw.

I replaced the rear resonator (and left the front one alone) with a 27" glasspack and left everything else the same. Sounds awesome!

Do it.

As far as Dante's idea about the melting... I did that (on accident) to my car (the trip to Carlisle the year before last) and it melted on an angle (the right tip ended up higher) because of the way the exhaust sits. Not saying it won't work perfectly, but just a heads-up.

well what my plans are is mount my lipkit then have a exhuast shop bend the pipes into the cut outs so everything lines up right

I don't think they'll bend that far. Just have them cut and weld them to fit. Took about 20 minutes to have that done to mine.

yeah im thinking getting the exhaust put on and my lipkit then just bring the rear section and have them weld everything and fit it to the holes in the lip.
