Hey I'm new got a 2000 SE from my brother when he bought his 02 bmw 330ci...free cars are cool.....anyways.....hate the front bumper and am deff gonna switch to the 02 and paint the car cooper (not a fan of flame red) .
Anyone know about front lips? besides Kamaniri (sp?). Custom made or otherwise?
I found this lip, dunno who makes it but I would like to know were i can get it if anyone knows?

Considering the fact that is an export Neon (non US version), it's probably a lip that can only be found on the European market. It could also be custom made...I don't really know about that one.
EGR makes a full lip kit. Howell Automotive carries it.

I got family in Europe so weither or not the lip is edm or usdm doesn't concern me...I just love the lip. The EGR one looks terrible in my opinion so thats not an option....and if anyone has custom made one what car's lip did ya'll use to mold up to the neons?

I think its custom...I think its actaully a 98-01 Integra Type R Lip. Looked at a few integra lips today (friend has a integra) and I know someone on this board already put a integra lip on....from looking at them and playing with them all you'd have to do is dremel off the top 90 degree parts and it will be perfectly straight and u can just put it right over the factory 02 bumper and it would look just like the picture.
Now i don't know for a fact thats what this is, but I'm gonna go ahead and give it a shot and post pictures of the process if it works.

Never said it was OEM....Or JDM for that matter....But the type R JDM bootleg lip for a 98 integra looks 99% identical to the pic I posted. Of course I've never seen this neon before....so can't say for sure..but i have seen a 98 integra with the add-on Type R "STYLE" lip.
mztykal....
Not even close huh? Its not identical but only a blind person would say its not close. If you still think its not even close...Dude...I dunno what to say lol.
Anyways as far as my progress goes on this project...got an 02 bumper already....did some measurements on my bumper and my home boys integra....and they are pretty close, and the boot leg type r lip.
this is the one i'm getting as you can see the top of the lip is smooth and flat and its poly urathane so i'll be able to fit it around the bumper, and if it don't work...it will fit my boys integra lol...so he'll buy it from me ... no harm no foul.

Already proved my point...which wat It is close and your statement of "its not even close" is wrong. Anyone who looks at the two pictures will see the HUGE similarity between the lips, same style same design, minus minor detials. My point is just that your wrong on the "not even close" statement not on anything to do with jdm crap. So deal with it...your wrong...if you can't see the that it is actually very close in design..you've been starring at this screen too long...
Now stop hyjacking threads...if you don't know who makes the above lip or have list of any 02 lips besides kamaniri...please keep your opionions and incorrect observastions to your self..
And welcome to 2005.
And for all those besides the wrong guy ... I "borrowed" a non oem lip from one of my boys integras, looks like it will work fine...basically the same style as the lip i linked to type R knock off...It fits roughly...gonna need to do some work to it but It looks damn close to the picture except my car is red and his is kinda baby blue lol. But yea....going to order the lip in a few weeks and once I get it on I'll post the pics and the steps to make your own like it.

Can't we all just get along?
There's an EGR lip kit available through Howell Automotive with matching subtle fender flares.

As far as my lip project (what this post is about), I already took measurments of my front bumper on my homeboys integra, and from those numbers looks like we are gonna have to take a bit off the middle, and alot off the sides. The lip I decied on getting for the project is polyurthane, "bootleg" type r lip thats made to fit right of the stock lip on the integra so it will fit flush with the neon bumper.
When I start the project, I will take pictures and detial instructions on how to do it, and start a new thread so anyone can have the "jdm look" and not over kill body kits.

Wow, my post is at the top from like i don't know how many months ago... lol. well here is the update since people are intrested. TYPE R oem lips are rare and not cheap, I'm looking at an after market poly unrthane type R replica that should work by just cutting out a peice of the middle and the ends, and the heat gunning it to the form of the bumper.
I also just installed a Mugen style lip on my friends 95 Teggy, and I kind of like that look better than the type R, and the Type R style looks like its already been done on this board, so I might just go with that, its a lil more work, but I think it'll be worth it.

Just found this, Its from germany, startech lip for the 2000 + (europe), and 2002 usdm neon bumper, but I can't find prices or anything about it, will prolly be alot easier than cutting up an integra lip.
At least to my eye, for a lip that doesn't go over the bumper but under it, it doesn't look half bad. Makes me think about that cheap EDGE lip for Sport Compact Shop.
