Many years ago I completely gutted the interior of a 1972 Ford Pinto and spread 4 gallons of this stuff with a brush inside...

I let it dry a couple of days then covered it over with thin clear plastic.

Then I installed extra padding where I could and replaced the whole interior.

The car smelled like tar inside for weeks but it was VERY quiet and rattle free.

I also did inside the door panels and under the hood. Considering the weight of the stuff it was certainly not a "go-fast' mod by any stretch of the imagination.

I think you spent more on that stuff than the car was worth... even if the car was brand new.

since we are bringing up dead threads i'll chime in.

hands down the best 2 peel and stick products on the market are dynamat xtreme and second skin damplifier pro. they are expensive but worth every penny.

i also used expanding foam to fill in all the support pieces on the trunk lid.
