So my front end has been bothering me lately. It just feels... lacking. I had a crazy idea tonight so I decided to photoshop it and see what it might look like. It involves relocating the fogs. I was thinking about turning the fog holes into ducts to collect and direct air up towards the FMIC, but when looking at the actual photoshop I fear that I may be doing more harm than good by blocking the IC with the fogs. Either way, it looks unique, which is what I was going for.
I wasn't sure how the ducts will look with shadowing and things, so I did them both red, and black (shadowed).

I don't know if you realise this or not, but putting the fogs there won't work with an IC. Leaving ducts open on the side wouldn't be giving air to the intercooler, because it doesn't go that far out. Plus it just looks kind of weird.

^ word

you really don't want to be blocking the intercooler. It needs the air flow in order to provide cooler charged air to the engine which gives you more power.... more power is always better than looks...
on another note... if you weren't doing the swap I find it rather unique / interesting... not sure whether I like it or not, but it doesn't look out of place.

Too bad that you can't have the car actually change looks like that. Can you imagine the looks from other drivers?

I like the fogs in the center, but I have to agree with z3roneo, I think with the way the fogs are mounted, they'd get in the way of the IC's airflow somewhat
and be a PITA to change bulbs when/if they blow out

. Otherwise, I like it! Oh, another option for the ducts would be to route them so the act as brake cooling ducts? Just a thought.

here ya go do this.i am not going to anymore because i am doing the 02 front with a integra ITR lip.this is cool though
or
both of these should leave enough room for your IC to breath.so heatsoak shouldnt be an issue
just an idea

Stock..
If you do anything, make the fog light area solid (like in the second chop) but keep the fogs where they are. Moving them to the middle just looks strange. I once thought of doing that, but decided that a fascia swap is a better choice.

True true. Aren't the fins partially for support of the fogs though? It looks like they should be okay with just the circular bezel for support, but it would definitely weaken them to some extent. Thoughts?
Didn't esteinmaier (sp?) do something like that?

i would think that it wouldnt weaken them enough to worry about.sure it will take a little of the lateral support away but like i said not enough to worry about.or just delete the fogs and fill it with some nice mesh, and by nice mesh i mean no homedepot crap lol.another thing to try would be to paint the grills a nice satin black.i will be doing this soon.it would look kinda like this
i think it would look pretty sweet that way if done right.
