It's pretty self-explanatory once the fascia is off. ;)

my question is why would you want it to be open?? it looks like poo poo with it open, one of the other neons in my area has the honey comb removed and it just looks unfinished, but it is your car so do with it as you will, and you will prolly have t fab up something to hold it on with the grill removed, ask OB about it he has his removed i believe

They do. They have a couple different options for paint.

The dealer has rattle can for all their factory colors. That's what I used to paint my grille inserts. I think I might have written a How-To on those too. Hmmm... Oh here it is:

^Sorry, no pics, I must have deleted them.

The fascia support has to be custom once you remove the honeycomb. I made a center bracket near the hood latch out of thin metal. The ends are ziptied, which is kinda tacky. I havent had a chance to fix that. Actually, I forgot to fix that. Im on it.

Here's a pic from a few months ago. You can almost see the bottom of the center bracket.

Oh and BTW, while you have the fascia off, it's a good idea to hit the actual bumper with some black paint. I sprayed pretty much every visible non OB portion of the car flat black, including the front bumper and surrounding brackets.

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
