Switching the LEDs in the headlights

Has anyone changed the LEDs in their projectors? I know how to do it, I was just wondering what bulbs you used. Would it be better to to just get bulbs to use with the regular holders and resistors, or cut out the resistors and get 12 volt compatible bulbs from superbrightleds.com? (or comparable dealer) I want something that will look as bright as the bulbs that are in now. They look like 5 mm high flux LEDs. Do you think blue LEDs would get me pulled over?

The ones that you have in there now are standard 194 base bulbs with and inverted cone. Most of the 194 base bulbs from superbrights will work. I went with the amber inverted cone one and wired them into my turn signal. The light projected out the side illuminates the tube that they are in well. If I did it again, I would go with their 5 led offering. 4 on the sides and one in the middle.

Or are you talking about the halos?
