Blegh! I think I saw a little paint chip before but this is pretty bad. Is it from the road salt? More importantly, what's the best way to fix this with the rest of all my terrible scratches

It was free for me. but Its better to paint ur car properly then goin cheap, doin a fucked up job, hating it and then goin to get done proper...wacko wrote:Really how much did they charge you for a paint job?jetas wrote:Just get it repainted professionaly. it may be pricey but well worth it

yeah i know they repainted some parts for some reason. must have been major scratches. No major accidents were on the report.sidepipe87 wrote:My guess is that the front bumper was replaced and repainted without being properly prepped before you bought the car. I seem to remember at least one of your doors was repainted because the door moldings you took off were crooked. That's a bummer, Try some touch up paint.
Pshh, doesn't mean it was turned in. My Raider is an '88 body on an '89 chassis and it will never show up on any carfax. Bought the '89 totalled, (roll over) but it was never claimed on their insurance, the title was clean. The '88 had a seized 2.6, good California body.Sykora wrote: yeah i know they repainted some parts for some reason. must have been major scratches. No major accidents were on the report.
Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
not always true with the bumper i bought my car brand new from the dealer with no miles and about 2 years later i have about three spots on my front bumper that look identicle to his.sidepipe87 wrote:My guess is that the front bumper was replaced and repainted without being properly prepped before you bought the car. I don't think either of my little accidents were reported on Carfax, and the same with my fiance's beetle. Clean reports as far as Carfax is concerned. However, when the dealer replaced the axle seal that showed upoccasional demons wrote:Pshh, doesn't mean it was turned in. A little wrenching, and viola, a nice clean SUV.
Not saying you got screwed in anyway, but I wouldn't put 100% faith in a title search, car reports, etc.
As long as it goes down the road straight, doesn't break in two, etc. that's all that matters. Some ppl just get way too anal over a used car. Yeah, sometimes you get a well crafted lemon, but you can get those new also.
