Halo's and eyelids...

Hey, s few days ago I ordered 00-02 specific eyelids. Now, I know that they would fit an 00-02 Neon, but would they fit the housing of halo projectors? From what I understand, these have a bulge, but is it enough of a bulge to cause fitment issues? And if so, would it be possible to change the housing to a stock headlight housing, but still keep the halo projectors? Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out!

i remember hearing that ud have to heat them up a little to get them to fit over the bulge thing, not 100% though

Yea i remember glasswars said he had to use a heat gun to get them to fit right. the bulge is huge compared to the stocks. and if u wana switch lenses i doubt it will work.

That bulge is there because the projector sticks out pass where the stock lens would be.

Well I don't see why I couldn't just change the housing out
edit: @ above: nevermind I guess that answers my question on why I can't switch it out.
I'm just worried that if I heat it up with a heat gun or blow drier that I'm gonna warp it... or is it harder to mess up?

I put cf shorties on my projectors. And yes they didn't fit 100%. But they fit pretty well. Enough to satisfy me.

Glasswars has a fairly large gap on his eyelids, but I think it's because of the year, and not because of the projectors. I don't like his eyelids at all, it's the only thing on his car that looks poorly done.

Tru. shit i forgot he had the "S" style. The bulge may still be a small issue

I got the "s" style which are making their way to my house as we speak, so I either have to make do with the way its gonna mount on the headlights, or I gotta find some nice non-projectors.....

I'd give up the eyelids before I would give up the projectors. If worse comes to worse, just get custom vinyl lids done. In my opionion, they could look just as good as long as they are installed properly without any creases, etc.

I tried the vinyl ones a while ago and had an experience bad enough not to ever mess with vinyl again. I've just been obsessing over eyelids for so long now that I'd give my lights up in order to get eyelids

I just might try making my own when the weather gets warmer (spring-ish). I've never dealt with fiberglass, so I might as well start now!

I tried putting vinyls on my projectors and it was terrible. There were so many creases and bubbles from fitment issues

Mkay, I got my eyelids, painted them, and then stuck em on. And I can happily say that they fit pretty well! I put the pic up on the top of the page.

Thanks, nah, these are the ones I bought off ebay, although it took the guy about 2 weeks to make and ship them. They're really good quality though, really well made

these should work, since that area of the housing didn't really change.
