Best H1 bulbs/prices?

What kind of H1 bulbs can I get for a good price that is a good quality light? I want something bright but that won't cost my whole paycheck...

I have heard good things about Sylvania Silverstars... but at the local autostoned they're 20 bucks per light! I'd rather not pay 40 bucks if I don't have to, but if that's what it is, I'll pay it, ya know?

have not used any specific H1's yet (eventually ill get some for the projector high beams) but silverstars themselves i feel are a waste of money. they arent THAT good.. and they burn out rather often.

one that i was looking at is the Osram Night Breaker bulbs.. dont know how they compare to silverstars or anything though..

Those look pretty nice too, and seem to be less expensive than the silverstars...

Interestingly enough when I pulled up a website on Sylvania bulbs, they're listed as OSRAM Sylvania... seems like we're looking at the same thing, haha.

From what I have heard, and this seems a bit odd, OSRAM and Sylvania were seperate companies who both produced their own versions of a SilverStar bulb. The name was purely coincidental. OSRAM has since bought Sylvania, but they still have seperate versions of the SilverStar bulb of which the OSRAM SilverStar is better.

Interesting. It would seem that they would consolidate the line into one... but yes Osram did buy Sylvania. A simple wiki search confirmed that.

Those are the same price as I've seen the silverstars for though... no reason to not go with brighter for the same price...

I personally swear by the silverstars, I haven't had any die on me yet either. I won't put any other bulbs in my headlights, except maybe HIDS.

Well, I bought the sylvania stock replacements for now since they were 7 bucks apiece and I'm poor. But I plan on upgrading at some point when I have more cash, so keep the opinions coming!

I run Silverstars in my car. I love the light output and color. They aren't cheap, but worth the money IMO. I did go through 2 on one side in 8 months, but in 3 years I have only had to buy a total of 5. Not too bad eh?
