Lambo Doors

As a quick update, they've fabricated and test fitted the first set of door hinges on their 'project' truck and made their modifications, but now they're currently working on a remote open method for the doors. The doors they put on the truck are truly 'vertical' doors because they open perfectly vertical... I'm not sure how I like the way that looks, but that's the way the guy's son wanted it. He said it depends on how vertical I want the doors to open, it's pretty much adjustable.

This is currently the only picture he has of them installed.

And again, these are raised super high... This is how he wanted them to open... Mine will NOT open this high... It's customizable while in the fitment process.

Trust me.

I'll keep you guys posted. As soon as they're 'kit' is finished, they'll be starting with the Neon hinges.

a friend gave me a set of lambo hinges that came off his 350z. does anyone kno if they will fit oor what it will take to make them fit?

you would probably have to mod them quite a bit to make them work. It would not be a simple, 'drill 2 holes and mount them' deal. They were made for a 350z, not a neon and they wont just bolt up like that.

Alot of my friends used to have lambos and they have problems now w/ the hinges messing up their fenders, and their kits were made for their cars specifically.

you could make it fit, its just not goign to be simple.

Yeah, they're strong enough, they were looking into other options for remote opening of the doors... To pop the door out and automatically swing them up.

I'm working on it.

He was supposed to have a set for me done by the time the 2GN.org Meet came, but now I'm not too sure if it's possible. He said it won't be too hard to make custom applications after the initial design is finished, so I dunno. I'll keep you guys informed.

No, I'm not sure on the price. I'll ask him about a better ballpark price now that he's close to finishing the first set. The price will also depend on how the doors open - Manually or automatically. And by the end of August? I definitely hope so. I hope he has them finished by the beginning of July.
