Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

jdm fog light look!?

Post by synviper » Mon Jun 08, 2009 2:40 pm

I was working at my car dealership and we just got a pt cruiser, and on the light switch you are able to run the fogs on with just your running lights, as well as fogs with your headlights on.

my questions is there a way to swap the switch from the pt cruiser into a neon?? or is there an easier way to rewire it or something.

I tried searching but couldnt find anything.

I was just wondering if this was possible, thanks in advanced.

ya kno... I was surprised, my wifee's 06 Grand Caravan does this with the factory switch also. of course, it's not a stalk mounted switch...but I can flip it over 1 notch for the parking/running lights, then just pull out and I get the fogs only with the running lights

find an european switch - we are allowed to run foglights + running lights.

^it's not the switch that matters. It's the wiring otherwise the PT switch would work.

Nope. The switch in my SRT i can only pull into the foglight position while it is in the second, the headlight position. The european switches can i pull in both positions to turn the foglights on.
And the "wiring" therefor sits in the switches.
(Btw: How many multiswitches for european neon have you seen and tested?)

But hmmm - i guess you will not find them in the states as easy as the PT switches...

I've seen nor tested none. It was just a comment. I figured if it was that easy, this would've been covered by now.
