Post by GtozMb » Fri Oct 02, 2009 12:06 am

I have heard both yes and no. Does and srt-4 hood go straight on a 2002 neon?

That's just silly. You need SRT fenders for the hood to fit.

Valid argument. I recollect reading somewhere that the 2002 neon's had different fenders and hinges. Wasn't the windshield a different shape too?

Anthony's is an '04 and had to swap over some '02 parts JUST so he could fit the hood.

i don't know why you guys are laughing!
the srt-hood has that big bulge to fit the turbo and that.
But now for the 2.0 engine is the distance between hood and engine to big - and that will prevent the engine from reaching the operating temperature. So especially in the wintertime the engine will stay too cold - and that on the other hand will reduce the engines lifetime and will also take negative effects to the output of your heater - that you will freeze your ass off!!!

So you see how important it is that everything fits together to work proper!
