Anyone know of any rear lips for an 00 to 02 rear bumper?
The xenon one isn't worth $300 in my opinion

I agree with OP. The xenon lip is not worth it, and it is ugly as hell.
For a more subtle and cleaner look, go for the mopar lip like slaw mentioned.
All you need is a drill, heat gun, mounting hardware that comes with lip, and about 3 hours, (or more if you need to measure more times to get it correct.)

Ya that one looks the best. I can't believe no one has made one for that version of the neon. 1st gen has a couple as do the 03+ cars. Where did it need to be cut to work on that bumper?

No prob..
There's more but finding them are hard as hell..
If you find a pic of the Erebuni rear lip, I think you'll fall in love with it.. I know I did but can't find one to save my life..

I think I like the mopar one best. I just need to find one. I was kinda hoping to find something else as soo many people already have it but..
most of them are so ugly. Who wants their car to look like a zamboni.

The mopar lips are much harder to find than you would think.

Damn I really love the way it looks on the 00-02 rear... how much more difficult is it to do than on an 03-05 rear?

You like how what looks on the rear? Talking about the Mopar rear lip?
If so, then just remove the bumper and place it on something to make it face upwards (ie a stack of tires / milk crates/ etc)
You do a test fit of the lip on the bumper and then you mark the spots where the drilled holes match up. Then take the lip off, and drill those marked spots (I forgot the size of drill).
*Note: do not remove the plastic adhesive part yet until after everything is done.
Start by bolting the 2 middle bolts only, then using a heat gun, slowly heat the bends and mold them to hug the bumper by pushing down on the curves of the lip. This may take at least an hour, and make sure to wear heavy duty gloves so you can push down on the lip's bends without burning your hand.
As you slowly make the lip bend and hug outward, bolt the nuts as you go along the edge toward the ends. After you bolt everything on, I'd recommend you leave it like that for a few days before you remove the plastic adhesive thing leading to the sticky part, just to make sure it is permanently in that shape.
After you think the lip is ready and permanent, slightly remove the lip just so you have enough space to remove the plastic adhesive and then push down to make it stick all around the bumper. Bolt everything up and you're good to go.

Nice, so it's only slightly more difficult than doing the rear lip on the 03-05 bumper. Awesome!

Yes sir, it's just a little more work and time involved...that's all.
Are you considering doing this 00-02 rear end conversion???

I probably won't do it, but if I end up keeping the car past June, I may just do it.

What's probably going to happen to your car after June?

Holy shit those wheels are huge. And the calipers, too.

Yea they look exactly like the Srt Acr wheels..
Anywho I like the "type r" rear lip cuz its different, might look even better if it was lowered (4x4=FAIL)...
IMO the mopar lip kit is played out... Too many folks with it and everyone seems to want it.. Yea it looks good and all but most of the neons look the same now, just in different color..

Is the picture of the red neon really rocking a Type R lip in the rear? Or did the concept just happen to have their bumper look like that?
I think it doesn't look too bad. I'd definately give that a try if I didn't already have my rear lip set up.

I think the bumper was made like that.. Not a 100% sure cuz the pics are crappy. Should be fairly easy to mock up though...

That Typr-R rear lip kinda reminds me of the Corolla Type-S rear bumper, but a little more subtle.

The toyota maker who thought of that should be shot..

Maybe on this site, however I've only seen one other neon in person with the Mopar lip kit.

I agree with you. No one around here has anything done to their Neon (only SRT-4's). I get looks all the time and people always wonder if I'm driving an SRT-4 around because they don't ever see any modded Neons.

Well yea guys... I seen only one driving around as well.. It was an old guy in a blaze red..
I'm talking bout here people.. I get tired of seeing it.. Its like everyones doing the same thing nowadays.. Sure alot of us or not in to body kits at all or anymore; I just want see some different ideas.

Finally find a pic of it..
Kinda small but still visible..
Sarona.com sells the whole kit but I'm not sure if they sell the rear bumper by itself..

Hey that rear lip looks pretty darn good!
It's not as bad as the Xenon Lip. And it sits lower than the mopar lip. Nice!
